Joe's Announcements

Announces push to raise the minimum wage to $15.

  • Proposal would deal another financial blow to small businesses already struggling during the pandemic.
  • Hurts families trying to make a living. Funds allocated for $15-$25 pay would be halted to give to younger/non family persons.
  • Seniors would be devastated since costs would rise and seniors only receive a small cost of living allowance once a year for inflation.
  • CBO predicts as many as 3.7 million workers could lose their jobs.

Announces vaccination strategy. Supports plans to release full covid vaccine supply. Doesn't realize the problem with getting second shots on time. States are already having problems mishandling their current supply. The following eight states have only used up 25% of their vaccines: Washington, California, Kansas, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan. Why give them more when they can't even handle what they have! Fix the problem first and don't create more of a problem with storage of vaccines.

Three-part plan to tackle the corona-virus in his first 100 days. Emphasized "masking, vaccinations, opening schools". Sounds familiar? This is everything President Trump has been doing/working on since the virus started. Biden slammed President Trump in commercials for wanting to open schools. President Trump started "Operation Warp Speed" to develop the vaccine and distribution will start shortly. The only difference is Biden will make it mandatory for Federal Buildings, travel on planes, etc which are already in affect. Biden sticks with President Trump's plans.
